Welcome to Florin Court Counseling
Dedicated psychotherapy for adults and couples located in Downtown Chicago
I’m Virginia, a skilled psychotherapist who combines evidence based techniques with a deep understanding of psychodynamic and existential theories.
My work focuses on helping individuals and couples resolve internal and relational conflicts to build meaningful lives.
Is therapy right for you?
Therapy shouldn’t be intimidating, though of course it can be. If you’re asking yourself if therapy is right for you, you’re likely at a place where it’s worth giving it a try.
Therapy a uniquely personal experience and finding the right therapist can be daunting. I hope to make this process as inviting and comfortable as possible - giving you a safe space to be yourself and work through life’s challenges with genuine support.
Credentials and Experience
I completed my Master’s in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy at the Institute for Clinical Social Work, a psychodynamically oriented program in Chicago, where I am now continuing my education as a doctoral student.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from exceptional clinicians and to deepen my skills through intensive programs such as The Gottman Institute’s Gottman Levels I & II and Bringing Baby Home Essential Educator courses. I am also currently pursuing analyst training at the Center for Existential Analysis & Logotherapy. I’m deeply passionate about this work, and together we can explore meaningful paths toward growth, understanding, and connection.

FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) PPO and Blue Choice Plans and accept out-of-network and self paying clients. For those looking to utilize their out-of-network benefits or pay out of pocket, super bills will be provided for reimbursement upon request.
What is a superbill and how would I utilize it for my out-of-network benefits?
A superbill is an itemized receipt for therapy services, which you would submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. This is not a bill itself, but it contains all the information an insurance company needs to process your claim.
To use your out-of-network benefits, please first contact your insurance provider and ask about the coverage offered for out-of-network services, specifically noting your co-insurance portion. You will then pay the full fee at the time of service and later on submit your claims directly to your insurance using the provided superbill at the end of the month.
What are your fees?
Intake sessions for both couples and individuals are billed at $200 for a 50 minute session while ongoing individual and couples therapy is billed at $185 per 50 minutes session.
Florin Court Counseling has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours you will be responsible for the full fee at the time of the missed session. This fee will be charged to the credit card on file and will not be eligible for any insurance or out-of-network coverage.
